The World Rowing Championships were held in the U.K. for the first time in 20 years. Held over 9 days the venue was Dorney Lake near Eton, the venue selected for the 2012 Olympic Games, so this event was being viewed as a trial run for the organisation of the rowing events in 2012.
The organisers wanted to create a family enclosure to keep the children occupied whilst their parents were watching the competition. Additionally due to the organisers being an amateur association, and the event running for 9 days, they wanted to limit the cost to themselves.
We put together a package of children’s attractions including a helter skelter, rides and games. We agreed an unusual deal whereby the operators paid us a reduced fee for attending the event, and we charged half price for the children to use the attractions. Additionally we operated an armband system, whereby a day pass could be bought for £5.99 and the child had free use of the rides all day long.
One of Coca Cola’s Yorkshire based plants decided to organise a series of fundays for it’s staff and their children. Being held on the pitch at a local rugby club meant avoiding damage to the ground was a priority.
We provided a package of rides, inflatables, games and confectionary. The rides were all operated free to the children, the games and candy floss were obtained by exchanging a voucher for 1 game, and 1 candy floss, additional games and candy floss were charged at £1-50 and £1 respectively. This gave all the children free access, whilst at the same time limiting the final charge to coca cola.
Use of boards and careful selection of vehicles and attractions meant that the ground was totally undamaged.
The Nottingham branch of House of Fraser put together a 2 day store promotion with a carnival theme, timed to coincide with a visit from the groups managing director. We supplied 1 of our Candy Floss Units and operator for the duration of the event. The unit charged the public for candy floss, toffee apples and other funfair confectionary.

An events management company contracted us to provide amusements for the Gamestation Company event held at the Metro Radio arena in Newcastle Upon Tyne. As well as traditional funfair attractions we provided a henna tattoo artist, fortune teller, inflatable games, rodeo bull and toilet seat racing.
A couple of suppliers we sub contracted let us down at the last minute, but due to the extensive contingency planning we had employed we were able to replace them without it causing any problems.

A P.R. Company contacted us to arrange a promotion for A Nottinghamshire based clothing company, One True Saxon. We branded up one of our shooting galleries with the Saxon logos, and constructed a special set of pigeon targets to suit their requirements. We then operated at music festivals handing out branded prizes to the participants.
