One of our last events of the season was a trip to Biddulph Moor in the Derbyshire Dales. The road their was straight over the top of the world. The view would have been lovely except for the dense fog, and torrential rain and gale force winds. On the way we passed a road sign informing us that Helicoptor Traffic Patrols were in the area. How exactly do they pull you up?
The event was a nice little community event, unfortunately ruined by the weather which never eased up all night and we ended up with an early finish, and a longer road home via the motorway network (although it was about an hour quicker then the shorter route over the tops.)
