At the weekend we were in the rather nice area of Chelmsford, (We were also in Peterborough, Newark and Durham which is about average for a Saturday at this time of the year) with a couple of sidestalls and a Ferris Wheel. The wheel was one we haven't used before, the owner of the original wheel is unfortunately ill and was beginning a course of treatment a few days before the event. He asked if he could arrange cover, which is something I don't usually like, but I trust him and let him go ahead. The result was one of the nicest wheels I have seen in a long time, a lot of it had obviously just been repainted, but even the parts which hadn't were exceptionally clean.
I have been to Chelmsford for probably a dozen events last year, but they all seemed to be rather hectic affairs, this time having travelled down the night before from another event, we had more time to look around. One thing which stood out was the general cleanliness. Even as the event finished there was no litter about.
